The breakaway valve is a safety connection device installed between the fuel nozzle and the fuel dispenser, incorporating an internal check valve. When the nozzle is subjected to a certain external pulling force, the breakaway valve automatically disconnects, simultaneously sealing off and cutting off the fuel flow to prevent rupture of the fuel hose or toppling of the dispenser. It prevents large-scale fuel spillage and avoids hazardous incidents in situations where the dispenser cannot shut off power in time.
